Not whats right or wrong, but what's fair....

Do not judge me until you have walked in my shoes....
Do not think you know who I am until you get to know me...
Do not think I can be "fixed" until you fix yourself....
Don not treat me different because in your eyes I am...

I will not ever....
Stand on the corner and ask you for change
Threaten to beat you up after school
Spray paint "straight" on your car.
Break your daughters heart
Abuse your grandchildren  
Sit next to you at church and think I'm better than you
 Deny you a job because of who you are
Hit on your wife at a Bar
Take your hard earned tax dollars to feed MY family
Never will I abort an unborn child
Look at you with disgust as I walk by you holding your sweethearts hand.
Make you feel so isolated and different that you want to take your own life.....
BUT yet I am the one you are afraid of, I am the one you gossip about, I am the one you picket about, I am the one you WARN your children of ???

On the flip side I may....
Be your wife's best friend and confidant.
My child may beat yours in the 6th grade spelling Bee.
All the women will want my recipe at the block party and not yours.
My car will ALWAYS be cleaner then yours.
I will never have Dental pockets larger than 2
I will age more gracefully than you     
I WILL stop you dead in your tracts when that outfit makes you look fat! 
I won't drive drunk and hit your son on the way home from "Da Club"!
Do the "Downward Dog" better than you. 
I may be one of your sons, daughters, friends, co-workers, cousins, or acquaintances!
I will continue to be a classy, hardworking citizen that continues to not expect much from those around me.  
And yes my skin will be more radiant than yours from the daily defoliants I use. 

Yes I am Gay.....Don't defy me, or try to define me, just treat me equally!
