WTF-RUITLOOPS!

We never, ever, ever, never go out without the kids! Tonight we decide to ditch our kids and go to IHOP at 11:00 at night cause you know what do 35 year olds do on a Friday night? Go to IHOP and leave their kids at home. Our kids were all in great moods and we thought, "hey maybe they won't try and kill each other so let's go!". So we enter the IHOP and instantly feel like Grandparents because of all of the students. I even asked our waitress for the "senior discount" because we were the oldest people there! lol After a filling meal of omelets, hash browns and pancakes (I know a lot, but most of it went home in a dogie bag! :), and great conversation we left. On our way out I thought wait a minute I don't think she charged us for our drinks? Being tired, and not wanting to go back into "Sorority-HOP" and tell her, we thought "oh well". As we entered the car with our full tum tums Kenton proceeded to turn the car on and NOTHING!

......That's when you want to say WTF-riutloops!!! I then say as twirling my blond hair, "Oh ya I forgot to tell you that the car has been starting weird the last two days babe!" Kenton just turned and looked at me and not a word came out of his mouth. So we tried, well Kenton tried, a million things to try and get it to start, but nothing. So at 12:20 we are trying to figure out who to call? This is when I wish we had....A. Friends that stayed up late and ......B. More siblings to call! We instantly tried to call our ONE friend that we thought would be up, but he was asleep. Then we thought we would call my Mom, but she turns her ringer off, because she doesn't want to bother the guy downstairs that she rents to with her phone. (I swear someday I will be in the ER taking my last breath and my Mom will have slept right through it! ) We thought well lets try and call the boys, but of course there ringers are off so that their teachers won't take their phones away at school! We were SOL (Sad, out of luck and lonely!) lol Kenton went back outside and I quickly said a little prayer apologizing for leaving three children that are on loan to us while we went and stuffed our faces! Now the awesome thing is that Kenton had no jacket and I had a skirt and flip flops on because I was to lazy to put my boots on.....so walking home was a great option for us! NOT! I told Kenton, "maybe someone will pick us up on the way home....and chop us up into little pieces!" Jokes do not go well with Kenton when things like this happen. I would have been OK just making out for an hour or two until we could reach someone! :) 30 minutes later after trying a few more times the dang car started! WE WERE SO EXCITED!!!

Top Ten things to remember about tonight.......

1. Never leave kids home so that we can spend quality time together which results in a happier Mom and Dad!
2. Always tell your waiter when she under charges you!
3. Never get your hopes up on spending your tax return on something other than car repairs.
4. Never wear flip flops when snow is still on the ground!
5. Make friends that stay up past 2 am
6. Always rely on prayer.
7. Don't buy kids cell phones cause they do them a lot of good and their parents NO good!
8. Always tell your husband when the car is acting weird!
9. Always go pee when leaving a restaurant.
10......Try the mushroom, spinach omelet when you go to IHOP, it's divine! lol

On the way home we both talked as if we were both alone in the car not listening to what each other was saying....."what the heck!", "Guess we can kiss vacation good bye...", "This care is falling apart.....", "I'm taking the boys phones away, they do us no good.....", "Don't get mad at the boys.....", "Out of all the nights for people to go to sleep early...", "It was my first Friday off of work :(", "Hey I could have called someone at Target to pick us up...."lol "How are we getting to Hunters game in the morning....", "Why does this always happen.....", "I would have died if we had to walk home...", "We should have just got a room at that hotel...."!
