1. Even though we are 13 years apart...you always made me feel like I was no bother to have around when I was little.
2. You taught me how important it was to study, study, study as I watched you sit at our big brown desk and study every night.
3. You tried to teach me how to type.
4. You showed me what hard work was and how important it was to be a punctual employee.
5. You came to my first Piano solo in sacrament when I was younger.
6. You took be on my first rollercoaster at Lagoon, and we laughed and laughed cause it was so scary!
7. When I knocked out my front teeth at GRA Park you helped hold me down in an after hours Dr.s office while they fixed me up.
8. You taught me what a yard should look like and how to yell at the neighbor kids if they crossed our freshly mowed grass.
9. You introduced me to "Love Shack" by the B52's. I thought you were a little strange for liking them and cool all at the same time!
10. You made our family the COOLEST EVER ginger bread houses with stained glass windows and cobblestone walkways every year for Christmas. I thought you were the God of Ginger Bread!
11. You would always show me off to your friends as if I were royalty and not a pain in your butt!
12. You showed me how to put the deck to good use in the summer by laying out with me. I could never make it as long as you though!
13. You taught me what GOOD food was and always encouraged me to try new things!
14. You took me on my first plane to Denver for my 8th Birthday. Bought me a fancy dress and took me for my first Lobster dinner, which we picked out and named before in the pot he went.
15. You helped me catch a Frog at your house.
16. You have shown me at least 32 helpful ways how to kill a spider!
17. Taught me how to make Oragami.
18. Showed me numerous times at your house how to tuck in the sheets the right way while making a bed and how to dry off a shower door after it's been in use to prevent mildew.
19. You defiantly taught me that music is not made for listening to quietly. Driving around LA when I was younger with the tunes cranked made me feel like I was on 90210.
20. You introduced our family to the Hibachi in Salt Lake...the coolest restaurant ever!
21. When I was younger I always admired how well you played the Piano and aspired to play like you some day.
22. Started my Ice Skating career by taking me to Utah Lake when I was 6 years old....I still remember "To Shy (hush, hush eye to eye) by the Kajagoogoo playing in the back ground! Yes I did have to look that up! :)
23. Thanks for all the numerous birthday parties at Classic Skating you helped Mom with....I was kind of a brat on my Birthdays!
24. The one person that still sends cards to everyone no matter the occasion! Never a Birthday, Valentines, Easter, Halloween, Get Well, or Congrats missed...Never! And now you send them to my kids!
25. Thanks for giving me the COOLEST graduation gift ever....A GUCCI watch! I still remember the wrapping and the cool box it came in...which later became a secret container for condoms, but anyways......!lol
26. Thanks for always rushing down from Cali at the last minute (as if you were the father) to the births of my three children...thanks for making it easier on all of us for #4 and just moving back to Utah!
27. All the Amazing pool parties when you lived in Salt Lake! (People are going to think we were partiers when it was just you, me, Dad and Mom! lol
29.Thanks for teaching me about the "Birds and the Bees" by playing George Michael in the car! lol
*poo i forgot one...for believing Hunter was the next Child Super Star and going along with his crazy mother in California!
30. Thanks for introducing me to Sunday brunch at Market Street in Salt Lake...I can still smell the warm sourdough bread and taste the clam chowder!
31. Thanks for educating me on what a "Fruit Tart" was and all the yummies you used to bring me on my Birthdays!
32. Thanks for not disowning me as your sister when I announced I was getting married at 18!
33. Thanks for walking me down the isle in place of our Dad...a moment I will never forget!
34. Thanks for all these years that Dad has been gone, for taking care of Mom and I. I'm sure it's not easy being the oldest and the last male standing, but it has never gone unnoticed by me!
35. Thanks for always checking up on me by phone call....you always called me when I was younger when you moved away and you still call just when I need someone to talk to. I know at times you are on the other end saying "Blah, blah, blah" but you always seem interested in what I have to say!
36. Thanks for making me a woman by giving me my first bottle of perfume, which became a yearly ritual. I think it was Eternity!
37. Thanks for taking me school shopping when I'm sure you didn't have a lot of extra money to throw around.....Express, Gap, Nordstrom, ZCMI we hit them all!
38. Thanks for supplying me with my first skincare products form Clinique....and for my life long obsession to skincare and makeup since then! :)
39. Thanks for supporting me when I decided to volunteer in the Olympics. My unreliable car was going to make it not possible, but you stepped in, rented me a car and gave me money to make it to Park City everyday. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and I owe it to you!
40. Thanks for Paying for Kenton and I to go on our Honeymoon to Disneyland. The Hotel, the flowers, the restaurants, the sight seeing and not to mention our personal concierge and chauffeur!
41. Thanks for being the best Uncle anyone could have...treating them like they are your own with unconditional love!
*Crap I forgot another one...For supplying us with Seven Peaks passes for like the last 5 years!
42. Thanks for always trying to attend, Basketball games, choir concerts, dance recitals, and church functions for my children. They may never act like it's a big deal, but if you didn't show up they would totally notice!
43. Thanks for your support over the years when I have had hard times...the emotional support, the fiancial support and the out to lunch support!
44. Thanks for always sending me emails, messages on re-calls, how to eat healthier, how to be a better parent....you would have been an amazing Dad!
45. Thanks to You and Brent for picking Jax middle name....and all the research that went into it! lol
*Oh shoot...thanks for bringing me a Oatmeal cookie like everyday for a week form that weird coffee shop....it's funny how a cookie can make you feel so special after giving birth to a 9 lb baby!
46. Thanks for all the books that you have supplied me with over the years on finances, eating clean, fitness, parenting etc. and for introducing me to Borders and Barnes! :) And thanks for introducing me to the life of a Vegan...your advice always is appreciated!
47. Thanks for ALL you do for Mom...your uncinditional love and loyalty is rare and often overlooked, but is always appreciated!
48. Thanks for all the little things you do...it's always the little things that make me stand back and realize you are different than the rest....the extra water you brought for Hunter during his tournament, the emails on Birthdays, the fancy napkins for Birthdays, the paper towels and Windex for the back of the car, the wet wipes....just in case! WHO DOES THAT! :)
49. Thanks for being a great Brother to our brother Rick! Your unconditional love to him I'm sure was always appreciated even though not always voiced. I'm sure he missed you, but is so proud of who you are and what you stand for.
50. I could go on and on and writing this letter to you made me remember all the memories, all the laughter, all the tears and all the reasons why I am so lucky to have you as my brother! People could hope to have a brother as I do but never get him...Here's to another 50 years (OK well maybe 40) of memories with you!
